After my original charger was stolen I bought a "Universal" replacement at an electronics store. I will never do that again. Energy flow was unstable when it worked at all. My battery life was rapidly decreased. So I visited Amazon and got a Battery replacement and this beautiful compact charger, recommended by amazon based on other people's choices. Is so good, it's like having the original charger back. It even came with a velcro strip to store it neatly. (used in an Acer Aspire One).

I needed an AC Adaptor and charger. but this item only acts as an AC adaptor and does not charge the battery. It is a waste of purchase.

It's shorter than the cord that originally came with my laptop, and has a tendancy to fall out of the port if I'm not careful. But after months of having to hold my old cord in just the right position to get a charge, this is good enough.
